If you would like a portrait and live locally in the Rutland and Stamford area we will take your pet photograph's free of charge.

Alternatively, if you live outside our locality, you can email your favourite pet photos to us. When your painting is completed, we can scan and send a proof via email for your approval.

If any alterations are necessary we will make the adjustments and send further proofs until we get the portrait as you like it.

Customers from the USA, Canada or Europe. Email us with your request and we can send a quotation inclusive of postage and if acceptable, an invoice via PayPal.

Pet Portraits start from: £195.00.

This is for a medium head and shoulder portrait in gouache or pastel of either a dog or cat. Horse portraits start at £250.00.

Postage Costs are:
£10.00 unframed.
£20.00 framed.

A Deposit of £100.00 is required before starting a painting. The remaining balance is to be paid before posting.

Artist Penny Richardson

lives in the village of Exton between the towns of Oakham in Rutland and Stamford in Lincolnshire.

Penny has been painting pet portraits professionally since leaving Loughborough Art College in 1984. Penny was born in Harrogate in North Yorkshire and started her career as a Leicestershire artist at Northfield Farm, Cold Overton, near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. She specialises mainly in dog, cat and horse portraits and people portraiture, although she is also an accomplished landscape and floral painter.

Penny's preferred painting medium is gouache for pet portraits, as this medium enables fine detail and a rich use of colour giving tremendous amount of realism.
